I feel this cover turns a luxurious fun into even more of a luxury product. It works exactly as advertised, with an included cut in the top so you can talk on the phone with it closed and not have to worry about accidental button presses. I personally recommend buying the black version of this to avoid getting your cover dirty (I bought the 4 pack from Samsung).

I was expecting a more secure connection between the tablet and keyboard. Since the tablet just rests on the keyboard, any bump can send it flying. It is a misnomer to call this a "case" since it does not fully enclose the tablet. It is better thought of as a sturdy tray for the tablet w/keyboard. Because of the material used and the way it is made, the tray does protect the sensitive tablet screen when closed but the back and side of the tablet are exposed. When it use, the tray does not provide any protection whatever and in fact makes the tablet vulnerable to calamities. Caution. For use on a tray table when flying beware of the seat in front of you reclining. The tray has only one tilting position. One more problem, the charging port for the tablet is not accessable when "case" is closed.

On the plus side the keyboard works well and has a nice feel. It seems reliable even though the on/off switch is a bit small for my fingers to use. The operation of the keyboard is good.

I was expecting more for the price.

Well, I have been dreaming to buy one of this for quite a while: researched, compared, did a lot of pros and cons and finally decided I would go for the Galaxy Tab. What made take the decision was: the outside design - I thought about buy Asus transformer but reviews said it was not so elegant. I was considering buying it also because of the extra battery keyboard, but friends conviced me that I would hardly need more than 9 hours of working on it. Also, I wanted a 3G gadget, which this one does wonderfully.

There are a lot of interesting applications in the market and I am quite content with it, overall. But I must say that 1) It actually could be a bit smaller: it is bigger than a book, and that makes it difficult to hold while eating, for example (ok, you may say it is not healthy to read while having lunch, but then again, this is my review ;). 2) I do miss having more battery. Because sometimes I forget to charge it at night and find myself without battery during the day.

I am happy I bought it 3G though - I was afraid it wouldn't work with a normal SIM card but it actually worked pretty well, just out of the box. And because there are several places here that you don't have wi-fi, it is useful to have a tablet that can connect to internet no matter where you are. I did not give it 5 stars because of my own frustation and not because of the tablet. Hope this is useful.

Don't worry, I'm not completely insane, I bought my wife an S3 and ordered this OtterBox for hers as well.

Anyway, it's a great case, and the only reason I can't give it five stars is the power button issue that reviewer LLBean mentioned. It is really, really stiff, and that takes some getting used to. Considering all the positives about the case, though, it's a relatively minor concern.

Despite the amount of protection that the case affords, it doesn't add an enormous amount of heft. It does mitigate some of the phone's sleekness (one of its main selling points), but that's the trade-off. If you want to preserve that sleekness, go for a thinner case (either gel or hard plastic), but keep in mind that those will protect against scratches, but not drops.

It fits beautifully on the phone. There are no gaps. Quite the opposite, in fact - getting the hard plastic over the underlying rubber sleeve can be kind of difficult, especially getting it over the volume and power buttons. If you think you'll want to take the case off regularly, don't get this one. Go with something like the Seidio Surface or Active, which are much easier to put on and take off.
