I can't speak to longevity yet, as I have only had this a few days.
It looks just like a stock Apple cable, although clearly it does not
come in Apple packaging. It charges my iPhone 5 without any issue
whatsoever.
Needed a second charger for my iPhone 5. This worked out very well. Would recommend it. No issues thus far.
